Sir E.Stubbs assumed the Governorship on 30th

Se tember 1919 His term is therefore up.on 30th September 1925. If he takes three months full pay

leave from, say, 1st April, with one month's extension, he would have to be back in Hong Kong on let August 1925 a long way to go for two

months! Presumably the moves consequent on Sir R. Clifford going to Ceylon will nave been settled by hext summer and the Secretary of State will be in a position to say what he will do with Sir E.stubba,
